Tetín is not only the place where the first Czech saint - Princess Ludmilla - died. It is a magical, mystical place, full of stories and legends. The spirit of the place is so palpable that we do not feel the need to enter the space too much and we do this only with humility and with an effort to create an atmosphere. With the materials used in the parterre we want to evoke the atmosphere of the time of St. Ludmila. As the main material for the newly unified surfaces in the historic centre, we have proposed stone paving (limestone, which is traditionally quarried in the immediate area), a grassed stone paving with large joints designed for grass to grow through, and a resident lawn. As a complementary element of the parterre, we propose limestone stone walls acting as giant planters for trees and also as benches. The proposed details of the parterre (watering cans, baskets...) are unobtrusive and timeless. As a connection between myths and real places, we propose evening lighting with small ground lights in the pavement on the piazzetta by the rectory (cross shape) and around the cemetery by St. John of Nepomuk (scarf shape). Both shapes, when viewed from above, will resemble the symbols depicted in the emblem of Tetín. Two important pieces of the overall concept for the revitalisation of the centre of Tetín have been realised, the area around the church of St. John of Nepomuk and the water reservoir including its immediate surroundings. These two places will show the direction of the future direction of the central part of the village.
