The architectural studio mackovič architecture s.r.o was founded in 2010. During its existence, it has created a number of interesting projects, won several prestigious awards, created dozens of enriching designs, but also went through several thorny design processes. In short - we have gained experience and are ready to create the perfect project for you!
Our studio focuses on quality. We are a well-coordinated team. We offer smart, sophisticated solutions that take into account the client's financial capabilities.
Even very complicated assignments are not a problem for us.
We deal with a wide range of projects: from larger urban complexes to hotel and commercial building designs, individual housing to custom-made interiors and original design elements. We offer a complete design process and includes: first sketches, architectural study, project for building permit, implementation project and author's supervision of the construction.
Currently, 4 architects work in the studio. We work directly with Jakub Killnar, an expert in the construction sector, on our projects. We use our circle of authorized specialists to collaborate on professional professions.

Prahu ozdobí nová univerzitní budova VŠCHT se superpatrem
Praha, 6. 3. 2026 – Vysoká škola chemicko-technologická v Praze zveřejnila výsledky mezinárodní architektonické soutěže na návrh nové budovy VŠCHT Praha na Vítězném náměstí. Ta se začlení do urbanistické koncepce plánované dostavby náměstí v rámci developerského projektu Fourth Quadrant a propojí současný areál VŠCHT Praha a dejvický univerzitní kampus s novou zástavbou. Odborná porota vybrala na první místo návrh od sdružení ra15 a mackovič architecture, který optimálním způsobem naplnil požadavky na architektonické, technické a provozní řešení stavby. Náklady na výstavbu by neměly překročit 1,4 miliardy korun bez DPH. Zahájení stavebních prací se očekává v roce 2029, dokončení pak o dva roky později.
V Šestajovicích vznikla vila, kterou definuje světlo
Mezi vzrostlými stromy v klidné zahradě stojí vila, kde hlavní roli nehraje forma, ale světlo, proporce a klid. Architektura rodinného domu od architekta Jana Mackoviče je nevtíravá. Jen tiše vyhlíží zpoza dřevěného plotu a přirozeně splývá s okolím.
„Zadání investorů bylo od počátku jasné. Dům měl mít charakter vily, přestože rozpočet odpovídal spíše standardnímu rodinnému bydlení,“ vypráví architekt. Pro klienty byl zásadní minimalistický výraz, velké prosklené plochy, světlo a velkorysé proporce. Namísto kompromisů tak vznikl návrh založený na redukci a pečlivém rozhodování, kde ustoupit a kde naopak akcentovat kvalitu.

The historic building in question is located in Prague 1, behind the Bílá Labut' department store in Biskupská Street. The house itself has a very well-preserved decorated street facade. There are also other partial elements preserved from the original form, such as the valuable stucco ceiling in the entrance hall, a fragment of the terrazzo floor on the 2nd floor, etc. Otherwise, the building has undergone very insensitive structural interventions during its existence, which have negatively affected its current appearance. Following an assessment of the existing condition, the proposal seeks to utilise the most valuable space on the 1st floor - the existing offices on the street facade - to operate the filing office and client center. It also seeks to accentuate the historically valuable preserved distinctively stuccoed ceiling in the entrance corridor.
